While we would love to tell you that we had found a fast and healthy way to lose weight (maybe so fast it happens overnight), unfortunately that hasn’t been discovered yet. We are sure, though, that because of the world’s obsession with weight, a solution will be invented before much longer.
The best weight loss diet you can follow, believe it or not, is the food pyramid. Do you remember learning about the food groups in school and how important it was to eat a certain amount of servings of each group each day? If not, do some research on the internet because, as it turns out, our school teachers were right! The food groups do matter! If you are unsure of how to navigate the food groups or what will work best with your body, make an appointment with your doctor. The two of you can work together to figure out a target weight and the best foods to eat while you try to get there.
The other component to following the best weight loss diet is having an exercise program that you are dedicated to following. Simply watching what you eat is not enough to lose weight. Exercise not only burns off the calories you have eaten during the day, it helps to build muscle. The healthier your muscles are, the better your body will process the food you eat instead of simply storing it as fat. The better your body processes your food, the better you will feel and it will be easier for you to keep the weight off later on.
Something else to remember is that there really isn’t an end to the best weight loss diet. It is more of a lifestyle choice than a specifically timed process to follow.
